Tako Toki est un trio parisien qui joue exclusivement avec des instruments acoustiques fabriqués à la maison. Loin d'être des luthiers ou bricoleurs hors pair, les musiciens du trio ont derrière eux de longues carrières qui les ont menés sur à peu près toutes les scènes du monde et dans tous ses recoins musicaux. C'est avec un enthousiasme tout frais qu'ils s'attaquent à ce nouveau challenge : faire de la belle musique avec un instrumentarium issu de rebuts industriels, chutes de bricolages, quotidien détourné...
Sur ce mini album vous pourrez vous régaler de ritournelles pseudo cubaines évoquant nos musiques de ciné des années 70 (Moujeres) - d'un enfant illégitime de Steve Reich et Arnold Shoenberg (Gad Gad Chef) - d'une chansonnette balinaise au rythme ferroviaire (Gobleg) - et d'une tentative de techno-indus de cuisine (Roulures)

Muju Records is pleased to release this 4-tracks album which marks the birth of Tako Toki.
Tako Toki is a Parisian trio that plays exclusively with home-made unplugged instruments. Far from being outstanding instrument makers or do-it-yourselfers, the trio's musicians have long careers behind them that have taken them to almost every stage in the world and to all of its musical corners. It is with fresh enthusiasm that they are tackling this new challenge: making beautiful music with instruments made from industrial scrap, DIY waste, daily life objects...
On this album you will enjoy pseudo-Cuban refrains evoking our film scores from the 70s (Moujeres) - an illegitimate child of Steve Reich and Arnold Shoenberg (Gad Gad Chef) - a Balinese song on a fast freight rhythm (Gobleg) - and an attempt of kitchen techno-indus. (Roulures).
