Muju Records is proud to release the third single from the breathtaking Franco-Korean collaboration Baeshi Bang & Ip Koa Son. After having recorded two songs remotely in recent months, this supergroup of ten musicians led by saxophonist Etienne de la Sayette finally got together in Seoul in November 2021 for a series of rehearsals and concerts.
After two singles with licked arrangements and production, here is a recording that highlights the feel of urgency and the fierce jubilation resulting from a long and eagerly awaited meeting.
The original piece, "kang kang sullae" is a traditional song, usually sung and danced on full moon nights and attested as early as the 4th century AD It is here combined with a composition by Etienne delightfully titled "untitled #22" .
